Meet Harrison Stuart! He is the recipient of the Gene Haas Scholarship. Harrison is a Wyoming resident and was born in Cody, WY. He has two brothers and works for Tony Giest as a shop helper. Harrison is majoring in Machine Tool Technology and plans to graduate from Gillette College in 2022! He plans to either continue his education or work in a related field. When asked where he sees himself in ten years, Harrison states he will be following the need and trend of machine tool technology wherever it may take him. This scholarship has positively affected his life by allowing him to save money and assist with tuition fees. Harrison’s time at Gillette College has taught him the basics of his program and enabled him to learn the ropes. Words of advice for current or upcoming students are: “Stay in the program. It may be hard to start, but it’s great”. His favorite thing about being a Gillette College student is being able to stay in the area and live with his family and dogs. He also loves all the hands-on work he’s been able to do.
Congratulations, Harrison! The Gillette College Foundation is proud to recognize you as one of our scholarship recipients!
